Lucky Number Seven

As you guys know, every athlete has his/her own lucky thing when it comes to number, and it‘s normally part of traditions. In football field, some numbers are consider the greatest as all of greatest footballers are used those numbers for their t-shirts and one of those numbers is 7. This number has been used by so many greatest names in football such as Bryan Robson, Celtic’s Jimmy Johnstone, Real’s Raul, Eric Cantona, David Beckham, and recently was Ronaldo for Manchester United.
After Ronaldo’s took off, Sir. Alec Ferguson then bought Michael Owen and gave the number to him as a new striker for the team. His July 2009 arrival at Old Trafford may have raised a few eyebrows, but former Liverpool striker Michael Owen is undoubtedly one of the finest goal scorers in the history of English football. The Chester-born forward notched up more than 200 goals for Liverpool, Real Madrid and Newcastle United, plus 40 goals in 89 England internationals prior to signing for Sir Alex Ferguson's men.
Owen burst to prominence at his boyhood side, Liverpool, where he scored on his first-team debut aged just 17. His lightning pace, untraceable movement and clinical finishing made him a Premier League revelation, and it wasn’t long before he took the international stage by storm. The 1998 World Cup in France was Michael’s springboard, as he scored an incredible solo goal in England’s second-round tie with Argentina. While red-carded United midfielder David Beckham became something of a scapegoat for the Three Lions’ penalty shootout exit, Owen was hailed a national hero.
His Liverpool career went from strength to strength, and in 2001 his part in the Merseysiders' triple cup haul of UEFA Cup, FA Cup and League Cup – together with international feats including a hat-trick against Germany – earned him the Ballon d’Or and FWA Player of the Year awards.
Michael left Liverpool after eight years following the arrival of new manager Rafael Benitez, swapping countries with the new man at the Anfield helm as he moved to Real Madrid. Although he was only in La Liga for a season, Owen bagged 14 goals in 22 starts for Real before a surprise £16million move to Newcastle.
A spate of injuries underscored Owen’s career at St James’ Park, and his four seasons with the Magpies yielded only 65 starts, although he did still notch 30 goals in that time. Michael’s contract expired in the summer of 2009, at which point Sir Alex Ferguson swooped to sign the famed goal-poacher on a free transfer, offering him a two-year deal.
He got his United career off to the perfect start with a winning goal on his non-competitive debut in United's opening Asia Tour match in Kuala Lumpur. After coming off the bench in the 61st minute, Owen pounced on a loose ball after Giggs had been tackled in the area and coolly slotted home to secure a 3-2 win over a Malaysian XI.
So yeah, despite all of his injuries during last season in premiership and his previous season in Real Madrid, I still have a big expectation on him as one of the good looking footballers who is lucky enough to wear the greatest number on his t-shirt. One thing for sure is that this down to earth guy is a good player, but is he going to be one of the greatest? Does he deserve the number? Oh well, first let’s just hope that he will show us some great thing this season and let’s hope that he won’t get any injuries like he was seemed to be always had.

To Spell Love (A Poem)

Don’t ask me to spell love
Because I have no idea where to start it
I don’t even know what the first letter is
Not to mention the next
So, don’t ask me to spell love
Because my letters, you know, not complete at all
Not even enough to spell love
My dictionary was too cold and flat
Don’t ask me to spell love
Because I don’t have that kind of word in my vocabulary
And am too proud to ask
Am too ignorant to even recognize
Don’t ask me to spell love
Because I don’t know how to start it
I don’t even know how to describe it
Not to mention the meaning of it
So, don’t ask me to spell love
Because love is all about you
Because love is all around you
And you deserve more than everything I got

Love Generation

Today is National Children’s Day in Indonesia, and as one of Indonesian who once was also a child I felt like I should do something about this. When I was a child, we didn’t have this such thing, so yeah, don’t blame me if I was a little bit more excited about today compares to others. As a child, I was literally grew up from nannies to nannies and wasn’t really that closed to my parents as both of them were working full time. That is why was I don’t really have any sort of childhood memories with my folks. And that is why I was so blessed knowing that now our country has a special day for children so that any kids now days will definitely have at least once a year memories with their parents.
Oh no, no…I wasn’t tried to complain about my childhood whatsoever because I was quite okay with it and has no regret at all. Now that am an adult myself, I do understand completely why my folks had to hired nannies at that time and I still love them no matter what. Actually, I thanked them for doing such thing to me as that was what strengthen me when I grew up. It made me a little bit cold as a kid though, but that was also built my confidence as I was always did everything by myself as a kid. So yeah, my self confidence was built by itself because of that. I don’t have any kid yet, but if I do, I will definitely doing the same thing as my parents if I was in the exact same situation with them.
So yeah, this one is for all of the children in this country, our next generation. The children who we depend our future to. We lean on your capability to build this country and make it better. We showered you with our loves so that you can grow up in a better environment. We love you and can not wait what are you going to do with this country after us. Whatever was that, I am pretty sure that it’s going to be big and brilliant as you are. You are not our children, but you are the children of the future. We don’t own you and we never expect you to follow our steps as you and us are living in completely different world. We never expect you to be like us as we do understand that the world is never moving backward. So yeah, walk my children…just walk to wherever you want to. We will watch you walk or even run. And for heaven sake, we won’t see the time that we won’t catch you when you fall. But it doesn’t mean that we will stand in your way, we won’t. Because we never want to take away your freedom. Because even if you are our children, but you are also the children of the world.

Pay It Forward (An Open Letter For Everyone Who Cares)

On my way to work today, there was a quite healthy and strong woman carried a baby begged on the traffic lights. Seeing her with an infant like that was kind of annoying, so yeah, I gave her money. Not a lot, just like a penny, but that was caused a strong comment from my dear friend who is against beggar on traffic light or anywhere else. Specially for someone like the woman who looked like can do anything to make money if only she wants it. But, for some reasons, she chose to beg.
Well, here is the thing, my dear friend…when it comes to helping people, I do believe that the number one point is our intentions. If we want to help, no matter what, just do it. Skeptically, my friend said that all of the beggars on the street were liars. They are not a real beggar, but organized by some people who used them as a money maker. So what? Don’t you think that that is not even your problem? For me, when I helped someone, I don’t really care if they fooled me by not using those money appropriately. I never do. As for me, when I helped, that was my decision to helped and my business end up right there. After that, I don’t really care. If they fooled me then it becomes their problems with their God, not mine.
My other dear good friend, once suggested me to quit my voluntary job at the Foundation I volunteer, as he said that most of the foundations in Indonesia are liars and fool people who help them to help others while they were actually just used those things to make money for themselves. Well, my beloved friend, allow me to disappointed you by ignoring your suggestion. When I decided to joined the foundation, my intention was to helping others which I believe I did, I still do. And to be honest with you, I couldn’t care more whether this thing was indeed fact or not. As I said, my intention was to help, end of story. And I do believe in the phrase “Pay It Forward”. So yeah, if you do something good for others then you will receive something good back as a result. Trust me! And it doesn’t matter if people you helped was using you, just keep on helping. Because only God knows what your intention is and that is the main thing, the deal between you and your God. Don’t ever think about what if you have been using by everyone you helped. Because there is no such thing. When you helped others, your business ended up when you did it, outside of those were not yours, as simple as that. And with all of those privileges that we have got in life, don’t you think it is time for us to pay it forward?

That Don't Impressed Me Much! (An Open Letter To Any Suicide Bomber)

Woke up yesterday morning with a shocking news on telly that Jakarta just got bombed again, what a start of the day! Like everyone else in the whole world, I was upset or more like furious of this so called terrorists action. What do they want? I knew that those who did these were always hide behind religious issue, but guess what, those all bullsh*t! I am not trying to mentoring anyone, but I can assure you guys that none of any religion whatsoever told us to kill others. I am a Moslem, and I won’t say that am a good one, but I do know for sure that Quran never told us to be a murderer. And believe me, there is nothing such a Holly War at this time of century. It was way over, guys! And who ever told you that you were going straight to heaven if you did all these? Guess what, they were lying! If so, don’t you think that Osama and his gang would do all of these by themselves so that they can secured their own spot in heaven? Why do you think they asked you to do these? You don’t really think that they love you that much so that they wanted you to go there instead of them, do you? No way, Jose! They sent you to do all of those jobs because they are all cowards and have no guts! Hah!
One of my friend on Facebook was so upset about the bombing so that she said ‘f*ck you terrorists and f*ck your God too’. I can clearly understand where these came from, but my friend, I was just want to remind everyone here that these all had nothing to do with anyone’s God whatsoever. My God never told me to kill anyone and I believe so does yours and everyone else’s. In case if you never notice that all of those suicide bombers were came from a poor background where they were never got any proper education so that others can easily doctrines them with what they called holly war and how they were going straight to heaven just by doing all of these. Don’t believe me? Okay, how many millionaires or educated people doing such thing? None. Nada. Nil. And you know why? Not because of they don’t want to go to heaven, but mostly because of their life were too good to be given up, and because of they were too smart to just buying those doctrines without any doubt. So yeah, let’s not make this thing as a religious thing, because it was not. It was definitely not.
Since the bombing was happened just nine days after the election, it could also probably just a reaction from those who were not happy with the election’s result, who knows? But one thing for sure, this stupidity was only did by some idiots who thought that they are something or someone by doing such terrors just to scared people. Well, maybe you did, but it didn’t make you a winner at all. You are just a useless human being who been used by some arrogant people to make their points. What a wasted! So yeah, you have got bombs. So yeah, you think you were something real. Well…guess what, that don’t impressed me much!

My Worst Nightmare

As you guys know, I love my car so very much. I can literally live in it. So, today as the other day, I went to work at 8 in the morning as I have to go to the Tax office before heading to my boutique. Just like the other day, nothing so special about today, apart from I had to deal with those tax people which I don’t really keen to. On the way to the tax office, there was a road work which caused chaos, and out of nowhere there was this big massive truck tried to switched line and pushed me out of the road. I’d tried to move away but there was no chance for me to do that as there was a road border right next to me. Then yeah, as you guess, it ended up with the stupid accident that broke my wing mirror. Huhuhu…what a nightmare!
The worst thing was not about that incident as my car was insured anyway, but it was when that bloody stupid ding-dong truck driver yelled at me like it was my fault and sadly I could not confronted him as I was too scared. Hey, we were talking about a truck driver here, remember? I wished I could just punched him on the face if I have a gut, but I didn’t and I hate myself for that. All that I could do was just crying like a wimp. Yeah, just because I was a girl who drive by myself then he thought that he could do whatever he wanted to. What a d*ck he was, that was what my friend said about him.
So yeah, this blog was dedicated to all of those truck driver out there who thought that they own the road while they were actually not. Just because of you drive those eighteen wheels vehicles, that doesn’t mean that you can just pushed everyone else out of the road. It just doesn’t work that way, you punk!

How Am I Supposed To Leave You Now?

This is about a guy who was in love with a wrong girl who is pretty much an item with another guy. But for some reasons, they decided to gave themselves a trial, hey, we never know what is God’s plan for us, right? So yeah, after seeing each other for quite sometime, turned out their love growth deeper and deeper day after day. But at the end of the day, the girl had to decided what she really wanted, and guess what, for another reason, she decided to stay with her man. Then yeah, the guy has to deal with this situation even though he didn’t really like it. Well, who does anyway?
A few months ago, the guy met another girl who is an opposite type of the first girl. Totally. So, of course, he gave himself another trial and ended up engage with this one. A week after, he had a doubt about their engagement and still has a thing for the first girl. Then yeah, he called her for old time sake and asked her to come around. Turned out this was the biggest mistake he had ever done. Turned out, the feeling between them are still pretty much in there. Both of them suddenly realized what have they been giving up that now they can not take it back again, unless if they were about ready to hurt someone else’s feeling which was the new girl or even the girl‘s boyfriend. But those two were not bad people, so yeah, they know very well where they were standing, and once again, no matter how hard it was, but yeah, they have to say another goodbye again. But this time it was much more painful than before.
Yeah, of course it was, how did someone suppose to say goodbye to a person that he or she adore so much? What should he or she do if the connection between them is too good to be left out? And yeah, how are they supposed to leave each other now, when the feeling felt so much deeper than before? Who would you blame for this situation? Is that his fault for calling her once again? Or is that her fault for falling for him once again? Well, maybe it was their fault for giving themselves another chance while they both know exactly that there wasn’t any chance anymore…

So Close, Yet So Far Away

Roger Federer became tennis's greatest men's champion, watched by a legion of champions, as he beat Andy Roddick 5-7 7-6 (8-6) 7-6 (7-5) 3-6 16-14 in four hours and 16 minutes to claim his sixth Wimbledon crown. It was also a record 15th Grand Slam title for the Swiss master, overhauling the total of Pete Sampras who was in the Royal Box along with fellow legends Bjorn Borg and Rod Laver.
It was a truly momentous climax to the 2009 Championships as the 27-year-old Swiss became the most successful man in the sport. Sampras, previous holder of that title, had been an unannounced surprise visitor to Wimbledon – where he has not been seen since 2002. The American arrived three games into the contest, but then sat as enraptured as the rest of the crowd as the two gladiators battled through 77 games, the most seen at any Wimbledon final.
In terms of match time, it was not quite as long as last year’s battle between Federer and Rafael Nadal, but it soon took on similarly epic proportions. And for much of the match, it seemed that Roddick would emulate Nadal's feat as he hammered away at his opponent. Federer wavered a few times, but never toppled and in the end won on merit. He returns to number one in the world, too, by way of yet another win bonus.
That this was going to be a contest between two big blasters was evident from the opening game, when Roddick slammed down two aces and in the next Federer replied with a couple of his own. That Federer had won 18 of their previous 20 matches was not a consideration on this day. For a start, Roddick, white cap pulled low over his eyes, was clearly a fitter and slimmer version of the man who had already lost to Federer in two Wimbledon finals, and he matched Federer stride for stride, shot for shot, ace for ace as they hurtled through the opening set, completing 10 games in just 25 minutes.
Then came the first sign of a falter. It was from Roddick, who fell 0-30 behind on serve, and Federer upped his level in pursuit of a break of serve which would have left him to serve for the set. He could not have tried harder, or played better. Four times he stood at break point, and on each occasion Roddick battled back to fend off the threat and was finally off the hook, courtesy of a pair of Federer forehand errors.
Perhaps it was the inspiration of surviving such a crisis, but Roddick bounced back brilliantly and when Federer offered him a glimpse of success with a faulty cross-court backhand to go break point down, the American struck. A brilliant forehand down the line forced Federer to project a forehand wide and it was Roddick who went a set in front after 39 minutes.
This was precisely the start Roddick needed to prove that he was a changed man from the opponent so frequently dominated by Federer in the past. Impressively aggressive and quick to close in on the net whenever the chance arose, he continued to stretch Federer in the second set with scorching serves of speeds beyond 135mph and a steadiness which was producing 80% of first serves on target.
Federer's discomfort at being so brashly challenged on a court he has come to regard as his own was beginning to show as the second set moved into a tiebreak. As the Centre Court audience roared in disbelief, two errors by the Swiss left Roddick with four points for a two-set lead. Now was the time for Federer to unveil the genius that had stood him such good stead in previous Wimbledon finals - and he responded in brilliant fashion, winning the next six points in a row as, for the first time, Roddick's nerves betrayed him. Two volleying errors on his own serve let Roddick down before, on Federer's first set point, the American drove a forehand over the baseline and it was level pegging again after one hour 23 minutes.
In that second set Federer had conceded only five points on serve, with Roddick not far behind with seven. The third set followed the course of the second, with both men holding serve comfortably, except when Roddick escaped from break point down in the sixth game. Though the American's first serve began to shed some of its potency, the two men moved into another tiebreak. And this time it was Federer who not only moved into the driver's seat with a mini-break on the third point but cemented that advantage, growling "C'mon" as he went ahead by six points to three, holding three set points.
Would Roddick stage a similar fight back to Federer's in the previous set? He certainly gave it a go, rescuing two set points on his own serve before Federer struck, following a potent serve with a forehand put-away to move in front by two sets to one with the match two hours 11 minutes old.
Roddick's indomitable attitude had its reward in the fourth set. He conjured two break points in the fourth game and though Federer saved one with his 24th ace, the American trapped the Swiss as he closed in on the net on the next point.
Steadily and impressively, Roddick built on the break, with the only scare coming when, at 5-2., he fell heavily. There were fears of a similar ankle injury to the one which had caused his withdrawal from the pre-Wimbledon event at Queen's Club, but this was not the occasion for something like that. He shook himself down, carried on, and held serve in the next game with that trusty weapon, a service winner. All square again after two hours 43 minutes.
So to the deciding set, with Federer threatening to strike early as he reached break point for the sixth time in the match, only to be frustrated again as the American pumped down his 20th ace at 138mph. With no tiebreak in the fifth set, this one had to be played out. And so it was, amid mounting excitement and with Federer beginning to show the first signs of uncertainty. This reached a climax as Federer faced two break points at 8-8, only to serve his way out of trouble and as the games ascended into double figures for each man the set became the longest fifth set in Wimbledon's history. Federer's ace count passed the 50 mark and then, finally, it was Roddick who cracked in the 30th game of the set. Three miss hits off the frame indicated he was fatigued and when Federer was offered the first Championship point he grabbed it eagerly, leaping into the air with joy as another Roddick miss hit sailed long.
Watching those two tennis’s greatest playing was a moment for me. I was never in to tennis that much until last night. Well, I like tennis but I was never gave it a serious attention until last night. The four hours and sixteen minutes game was a definitely game to watch. I feel happy for Federer as he now became one of those legends in tennis world but my heart was with Roddick. He played better than Federer the whole game through but his destiny said different thing. So yeah, as for me, Roddick was man of the match for the whole tournament. He was so close to win the game, yet so far away…

Good Bye My King...

Michael Jackson, the sensationally gifted “King of Pop” who emerged from childhood superstardom to become the entertainment world’s most influential singer and dancer before his life and career deteriorated in a freakish series of scandals, died Thursday, he was 50. Despite on how controversial he was, but we have to admit it that he was one of his kind, our king of pop music, no doubt about it.
The circumstances of his death were not immediately clear. They said in the news that Jackson was not breathing when Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to a call at his Los Angeles home about 12:30 p.m., as Capt. Steve Ruda told the Los Angeles Times. The paramedics performed CPR and took him to UCLA Medical Center, but yeah, his destiny said that it was the end of his days.
Jackson’s death brought a tragic end to a long, bizarre, sometimes farcical decline from his peak in the 1980s, when he was popular music’s premier all-around performer, a uniter of black and white music who shattered the race barrier on MTV, dominated the charts and dazzled even more on stage. No one can do that but him. He was famous for his music and for being Michael Jackson. His 1982 album “Thriller” — which included the blockbuster hits “Beat It,” “Billie Jean” and “Thriller” — remains the biggest-selling album of all time, with more than 26 million copies. He was perhaps the most exciting performer of his generation, known for his feverish, crotch-grabbing dance moves and his high-pitched voice punctuated with squeals and titters. But hey, he was Michael Jackson! His single sequined glove, tight, military-style jacket and aviator sunglasses were trademarks second only to his ever-changing, surgically altered appearance.
As years went by, he became an increasingly freakish figure — a middle-aged man-child weirdly out of touch with grown-up life. His skin became lighter and his nose narrower. He surrounded himself with children at his Neverland Ranch, often wore a germ mask while traveling and kept a pet chimpanzee named Bubbles as one of his closest companions. In 2005, he was cleared of charges he molested a 13-year-old cancer survivor at Neverland in 2003. He had been accused of plying the boy with alcohol and groping him. The case took a fearsome toll on his career and image, and he fell into serious financial trouble. But in his fans eyes, he was still the same Michael that they adore all these times. Even though he didn’t do much recently, but he was still their king.
Jackson was preparing for what was to be his greatest comeback: He was scheduled for an unprecedented 50 shows at a London arena, with the first set for July 13. He was in rehearsals in Los Angeles for the concert, an extravaganza that was to capture the classic Jackson magic: show stopping dance moves, elaborate staging and throbbing dance beats. Even though some people who were skeptical about his comeback said that he was probably had a financial problem that forced him to do the tour, but hey, who doesn’t? And people are still waiting and excited about his performance and wondering about what he would do on his so called ’comeback tour’.
As the news of the king’s death spread, hundreds of people gathered outside the hospital to show their respect and honor to the one and only Michael Jackson. Well, some of them probably just curious, but either way, these really showed how he was stole people‘s hearts with his controversy and interested way of life. So yeah, this blog is to show my honor and respect to the king. Despite on everything, he was a great singer and a brilliant dancer with his famous moonwalk move that copied by so many others. And the world of music just lose one of its best person. Good bye my king, good bye the greatest, good bye controversial guy, good bye Jacko...

Oh, No…Please, Anyone But Him!

For those who watched Top Gear should know that the gang is not only Clarkson, Hammond, and May, but also a guy who was always wearing racing helmet who called himself the Stig. For me, Stig is the mascot of the show which was always becomes a best part of the show because the identity of the guy was a misery. But recently a newspaper revealed who the Stig really is, and it’s Michael Schumacher. If this was indeed true, what a disappointment for me as I never like that German guy. As in one of my blog I told you why I don’t like him, if the word hate was too much for describing my feeling for him. And yeah, I even hate Ferrari team because of him.
Top Gear was one of my favorite program on telly together with Premiership and First Edition, but this news was really ruined it. Seriously guys, I was always wished that he was anyone but Schumacher. My disappointment was genuinely came from how arrogant this guy I think is. But I do like Stig so much and this news really killing me. My disappointment genuinely came from many things that I hate about Schumacher but now I was kind of speechless as I can not say that I feel the same about Stig, he was my idol from the beginning as Kristin Scott Thomas for Jeremy, hah!
Now that the real identity about Stig was revealed, I was kind of thinking twice to watch Top Gear again. I am pretty sure that many people out there wished the same thing with me. Yeah, I wished that they were never revealed who Stig really is as keeping him as a misery actually what makes the show interesting to watch because people keep on guessing on who the Stig really is. I was always convinced that he must be someone famous, but seriously, I wished that he was anyone but that German. Well yeah , it was because of I was never too keen with his attitude as a driver and as a person. And nothing interested about him what so ever. I knew that some of you guys thought that he was your hero, but for me, he was nothing than an arrogant human being who can drive a little bit better than me, hah! Am so sorry Schummie, I just not that in to you like everyone else.
But yeah, now I must deal with this shocking news. I have got to admitted that am not happy with this but what can I say? Oh dear, I really wished that they kept this mistery behind closed door and let everyone guessing on who Stig really is. Because, believe it or not, this is actually what makes the show so fun to watch…the mystery about the Stig! Well, except for the session about those sports cars, of course. And also when they invited all of those celebrities to do the test drive and compared who the fastest of them all. Last season it was Simon Cowell, but because of he was on the top for quite sometime, for this season, the creator of the show decided to invited the fastest driver from the previous season, which was Jay Kay, just to see if he can beat Cowell, and guess what? He did! With only 0.01 second faster! I love this episode so much so that I could watch it over and over again! But yeah, back to my point…please guys, anyone but him!

The Way You Looked That Night

Still feels like the first time I saw you in that funky restaurant when our eyes caught each other. Still remember when my dear friend pinched me because I was so obvious tied myself to you. And it was all because of the way you looked that night. With your black shirt and smile to die for. With your self esteem that made me forgot everyone around. With those kitty eyes that melted me in to your arms. That night I decided that you are the dream that I seek, that forced in my life by almighty. Everything seems so right with you, I don’t know why. Maybe because of the look in your eyes? Or the sound of your laugh? I don’t know, but when you apologized to me no matter who was wrong, when you get down your knees if that would bring me home, then you are the one that I love to spend the rest of my life with. You are a six foot five in your black suit and angelic eyes, so yeah, tell me how would I leave if you’re looking like that? You are the knight in my dreams, the king of my heart, you are the prince that I was waiting for all these times. I don’t care if I have to be in your secret place, where the sound of the crowd is so far away, just to be with you…so be it. Because no matter how far you might be, I was just closed my eyes and you’ll be in my dreams. So there you will be, until we meet again. But I’ll always look back when I walk away. Because our memory will be last for eternity. And all of my tears will be lost in the rain when I find my way back to your arms again. But until that day, you know, the look of you that night will be there at the back of my mind. Stay there, waiting for you to pick it up. Because I don’t want to let go. Because any other guy, I’d let you walk away. Any other guy, am sure I’ll be okay. But not you, not with the way you looked that night. Then yeah, this isn't goodbye at all. Even as I watch you leave, this isn't goodbye at all. But I promise that I won't cry anymore, even as tears fill my eyes, I won't. And don’t blame me for being so in love, blame it on my stupidity. Blame it on my believe for the myth that somewhere out there, there is a prince who is riding a white horse with his long shiny sword, will come and rescue me from this miserable life in my golden cage. Blame it on my sweet dream of what love could do to someone who believes, just like me. Blame it on my naivety, that makes me put love somewhere up there on a high place that would probably to high for anyone to reach. Blame it on my adoration on the way you looked that night…

He’s All Dressed Up For Glamour And Rock N Roll

What is your first notice on a guy? His look? His attitude? Well, for me is his appearance. One night, when I had a dinner with my dear friends, there was a guy who was sat on a table right in front of ours and my friend whispered on my ear that time that there was a cute guy in the restaurant, and I knew right away who was she talking about. So yeah, I was like, you were talking about the guy in black shirt, right? She nodded her head. Yeah, for me and my friends, we were always notice someone’s appearance first. No matter how cute he was, but if he dressed like a red neck, then yeah, thanks but no thanks.
The first time I saw Adam Lambert on his audition for American Idol, I was noticed his appearance on that spot. He was like someone who can wear anything, even though on that audition, he was only wearing a t-shirt and dark jeans, but he looked like a rock star already. So yeah, when he dressed up with his quirky style yet so glamour and rock and roll, I was knew from that point that he was my man from top to bottom. Despite on how gay he looked during his performances, he was just so amazingly dressed to perfection. And his edgy glam and vamp style was definitely caught my attention.
I knew a guy who owns a what so called t-shirt empire, that’s what my friends said, who sometime dressed so manly yet so dressy that makes him sometime looks like a gay guy but I can assure you that he wasn’t. Yeah, he was my ex, and despite on how my friends were always make a joke about how he dressed, but I have to admitted that actually I took noticed on him because of his appearance. And my man at the moment is a well-dressed man who was never leave house only with shorts and flip flop ever. My man knew how to dressed up properly in every occasion since he used to worked at a well-known fashion brand when he was young. So yeah, that is probably what made me noticed him at the first place, hah!
I can understand if some men don’t feel comfortable showing their dandy side of style as it can ruins their macho wall of barrier which they were always proud of. But yeah, as for me, as long as it still under control, I would definitely choose a nice dressed up guy rather than a sloppy t-shirt wearing kind of guy. With no doubt what so ever!

Does He Really Worth That Much?

The beginning of the end to Cristiano Ronaldo's glorious United career came on 11 June 2009, when the Reds announced they had accepted a world-record offer of £80million from Real Madrid.
In six years at Old Trafford, the Portuguese winger exhausted all superlatives as he matured from the inexperienced youngster who left Sporting Lisbon in 2003 to become the best footballer on the planet. The story goes that Sir Alex was persuaded to buy Ronaldo - largely unknown when he signed as an 18-year-old for £12.24m in 2003 - by his players on the plane home from a pre-season friendly against Sporting. In truth, the boss had long been aware of his ability. The urgency stemmed from other clubs’ increasing interest. This was a target Sir Alex simply could not miss out on.
Ronaldo wasted little time in showing off his sublime skills with a stunning 30-minute debut against Bolton at OT in August 2003. There was a buzz of excitement as soon as he stepped off the bench and, after 39 appearances and eight goals that season – including the opener in the 3-0 FA Cup final win over Mill wall – he was named Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year. His second term didn’t quite live up to his first, but late season form saw him end 2004/05 with nine goals in 50 appearances. In 2005/06 Ronny again reserved his best form for the latter stages, but the inconsistencies of a developing young player were being ironed out. He departed, full of hope and with great expectations, for the 2006 World Cup finals in Germany - what turned out to be a truly defining moment in his career. In the quarter finals, Portugal met England and, after Wayne Rooney’s sending off, Ronaldo became the pantomime villain for the English press. Some doubted he would return to Manchester. But Sir Alex assured him any ill-feeling would blow over. It’d happened with Eric Cantona and David Beckham. Ronaldo met the inevitable boos with the best football of his life.
United’s title success in 2006/2007 was a team effort, but one man took the lead role in every major plotline. It began with the barnstorming 5-1 win over Fulham – Ronaldo and Rooney ran the show and publicly banished claims they were at odds. Dazzling wing-play was backed with regular assists and crucial goals. His form that season brought a glut of individual accolades and, despite interest from other clubs - notably Real Madrid - he extended his contract until 2012. Ronaldo improved further in2007/08, netting a staggering 42 goals in all competitions. In May 2008 he fired United to domestic and European glory; scoring a decisive penalty on the final day of the league campaign and a powerful header in the Champions League final in Moscow. His staggering individual performances gleaned a clean sweep of club and domestic individual honors, with global gongs soon to follow. At Euro 2008, Ronaldo’s future was again the subject of claim and counter-claim. Happily, in the end, he pledged his allegiance to United, although ankle surgery delayed his start to the 2008/09 campaign. He made his return as a substitute against Villarreal in the Champions League and was given a rousing home reception. Two months later, his 100th Reds goal arrived against Stoke City at OT on 15 November 2008.
Ronaldo’s magical 2008 was rounded off with another string of individual honors. In October he was named FIFPro Player of the Year, and in December became the first United player since George Best in 1968 to be awarded the prestigious Balloon d’Or trophy. To cap it off, in January 2009, he became the first Red to win the FIFA World Player of the Year award. "This is the climax of a fantastic era," he said at the ceremony in Zurich. "I'm lucky to be part of United's history. It's one of the most important moments of my life, I hope to be back in this position again."
While Ronaldo did not dominate on the field in 2008/09 to the same degree as he did in 2007/08, he still played a significant role as the Reds achieved a hat-trick of league titles and reached a second successive European Cup final. For example, Cristiano scored in all three knock-out rounds of the Champions League, including the club's Goal of the Season to defeat Porto in the quarter-final second leg in his native Portugal and a double in the semi-final second leg against Arsenal at the Emirates.
In his final appearance of the season at Old Trafford, Ronaldo received his third championship medal after the Reds sealed the title with a point against Arsenal. At that stage, there was no indication that Cristiano was contemplating an exit - but that all changed less than a month later when the club announced it had accepted Real Madrid's record £80m offer.
So yeah, despite on good he is as a footballer, do you really think that he worth that much? Well, I believe that football is a team games, so no matter how good you are, if you can’t work together with your teammate, then everything would be useless. You can not just play by yourself as you will be need ten other people to back you up in every positions. You know how big the field is, don’t you? You can not carry the ball from edge to edge just by yourself, no way. Yeah, I aware that Real Madrid is indeed a very big and rich team, but don’t they afraid if what happened with Beckham happen again? After spending so much money on Mr. Posh, turned out he was not as good as he was in Manchester United. He couldn’t married with the team, and he was injured almost all season through, what a wasted! But yeah, maybe with Ronaldo the situation is different. He is on his glorious term at the moment, so we’ll see. Hey, Spain’s culture is not really much different with his own Portuguese roots, so yeah, I really hope that he will do good over there in Madrid. I just don’t get it, why almost every top football players really love this Spaniard team? I know the team is very rich and loaded, but as for me, I would choose Manchester United over Real Madrid. But hey, that was just me, am a Red Devils inside out. As for Ronaldo and many other footballers, it was probably all about the money, hah!

How Do You Tell Your Mom?

My dear friend once said to me that she would prefer her son to come to her and say that he is a drug addict rather than come to her and say that he is a gay. Of course, it would be better if her sons have none of those problem what so ever, but if so, that was her choice.
Last couple of weeks, the entertainment world was stunned by Adam Lambert’s confession when he admitted that he is indeed a gay. For me that was not a surprise at all. From the way he was during the American Idol competition, I think anyone could tell, doesn’t really need a genius to notice. Duh! On the 20/20 interview, Adam was asked if he is gay or not and he was like, yeah I am and I am very comfortable with it. Well, good for you, man! And when he was asked about how was his feeling after came out of the closet, the talented Mr. Lambert was giving us his giggle and said that he felt a little bit funny or weird because of the using of the ‘came out’ phrase as he says that he was never been ‘in’. So yeah, bottom line, he was just want everyone to stop speculated about his sexual orientation and mind your own business because whether he was gay or not, he is a very talented young man. He was even won an award for that title.
But, back to my friend’s story above, when Adam was asked how did he tell his mom about this thing, I could see how he was proud with her mom and I can tell how was this people as a family. They looked pretty closed to each other, so when Adam was in high school, his mom actually confronted him about how did he like to have a girlfriend. Then Adam was like, hmmm…not really. So yeah, his mom then asked him if he prefer to have a boyfriend? And guess what, that young boy was like, yeah…that would be nice. Started from that conversation, the gate was opened and these mother and son never stop talking about this issue. Mrs. Lambert actually said that she was always knew about Adam’s sexual preference since early on when he chose to played dressed up rather than soccer. But she was okay with that and waited for a perfect moment to confronted him. What a mother! And even his younger brother also knew about this from early on. In one of those interviews, Adam’s little brother said that he knew that Adam is a gay since he learnt what the word gay mean is. So yeah, even his dad never been questioning about this issue, and of course, as a father, this could be a slap on the face for him, but am pretty sure that the old Mr. Lambert was okay already as we can see how he was there for his son all the way during the competition.
Then yeah, my questions are, if you are a mother, would you be prepared if any of your children come forward and say that they are gay? No, of course I won’t be wishing that for you guys, just a curiosity in my mind if you were Adam’s mother what would you do? And if you are a gay, how would you tell your folks that you are? Would you just come forward and tell them knowing that it would probably hurt their feeling? And how do we deal with this issue? Being gay or lesbian is not a choice that someone made willingly, but it was a gift from God and no one should be prepared for something like that. And oh yeah, with all of the modernization and open mind things what they called them now, many people said that they were okay with this issue, but when it comes to their love ones, are they still okay with it?

My Rules For Fashion Confidence

Girls supposed to have their own rules on fashion and how to look good, not by any standard but themselves. One standard could be suited a person but doesn’t mean that it has to be suited others. As for me, I have my own description on what’s good and what’s not, and it doesn’t have to be follow by anyone but me. So yeah, here are my rules for fashion confidence :
1. Ban Tracksuits From Your Life
I’ve always love clothes, but my taste has completely change as I’ve got older. When I was a teenager, I was influenced by my friends, so I wore jeans and t-shirt - I was like a tomboy girl but I actually wasn’t. But one thing for sure, I was never get the idea of wearing tracksuits everywhere I go like those hip hop moguls do, I just don’t. I’ll only ever put my tracksuit on whenever I fly long distance or when I go to the gym. I never even put it on at home, not even when I got ill. Beside, you can’t wear heels with them, duh! So yeah, tracksuits are only for athletes and hip hop communities.
2. Embrace Your Skin Colour
I’ve recently started loving being this tan - it’s classy instead of the Michael Jackson’s disaster story of trying to be white - I used to be! Well, being Asian you will understand why I used to obsessed with white skin. Everyone here thought that white skin equals beauty and rich. So yeah, don’t blame me for that, it was just the way of people thinking here was kind of brainwashed mine. But living in the island such as Bali has change my way of thinking. Now, I really love my skin colour and don’t want to change anything from it. Nor that I will stay out in the sun to make it even more tan either, but I just love my skin colour whatever that is.
3. Experiment, Experiment, Experiment
I really got into fashion since I was a teenager when I started make my own designs of clothes and showed them to my friends to see their reactions, and yeah, it went very well. But it was two years ago when I started my own boutique, then I really took it seriously and then I’ve experimented a lot. I don’t mind looking a little bit quirky - so long as I still looking feminine - because that is my trade mark look which is feminine. It is important to me to try out most things so I can see and decided what’s good and what’s not, not just for me but also for my clients.
4. You’ll Know You’re In The Right Outfit If It Makes You Want To Dance
I always love the way an outfit can make you feel - it’s a form of expression and personality. I’ll often trying on different things before I go out at night with the music on and dance around my bedroom. If I really like what I wear, it’ll show on the way I dance to the music. Some people might find this ridiculous, but that’s just the way I am.
5. A New Hair Colour Opens A World Of Possibilities
I love my dark hair colour because it really embrace my skin colour very nicely. It feels like having an accessory on my head, but sometime when I got bored, I try a softer colour. But whenever you dye your hair, just be careful not to change it too far from your natural colour as it can makes you look like a clown. Once in a while you can try something eccentric just to steal the spotlight, but remember to stay in your natural colour range so that you can steal the spotlight gracefully without embarrassing yourself.

Uniquely Singapore

If you ask me where is my favorite shopping place in the world, then my answer would be Singapore. Why? Simply because it was so close to my town so that I don’t need to think twice to go there as it was only like two and half hours flight to get there. And this time of year is my favorite time as the Singapore Big Sale was always started at the end of May every year. When they have a big sale, then they really having it. Not like some places in our country when they said they’re having a big sale, but the fact was they were actually put up the price first then giving us a so called discount and stupidly we were like buying it.
So yeah, Singapore Big Sale is an annual event that I was always excited to attend, duh! And trust me, I was good on picking the right stuffs to get at this event, oh yes I am. Like when I got a Jean Paul Gaultier’s signature dress which costs me only five hundred bucks deducted from the original price of a thousand bucks, and yeah, we are talking about a signature dress here! Or when I got my Laundry by Selly Siegel dress for only two hundred and fifty bucks from the original price of eight hundred. Or my Burberry’s signature skirt which I got at half price, my Armani Exchange’s Jeans, My Gucci’s long sleeves top, my Boss Woman’s top, and my Armani’s top and cashmere which I love so much because it feels so good to wear, my Calvin Klein t-shirt, and I even got a Versace’s tee for the price of only a hundred bucks (and yeah, as for Singapore Dollar that is). Not to mention my Betsy Johnson’s bag, my Burberry’s shoes, or those Salvatore Ferragamo’s shoes which I got at bargain prices that you won’t believe! So is it my fault if this year am aiming for that BCBG Max Azria’s green backless which has seventy percent discount on its tag? Yeah, when you shop at the Singapore Big Sale time, I suggested you to aim for all of those designer’s brand as you will get the prices that will make you proud of yourself. And of course, am so proud of myself, hah!
One thing I notice about Singapore was how well dressed people in here are. Most of them are casually smart dress up. You will easily find girls walk on their four inches heels on the street and still move very fast like they were born with those heels. So yeah, it’s hard to find any OZ surfers look people who wear flip flop, tanks and shorts everywhere they go like in Bali here. And honestly, I think that what makes this place is so attractive to me as I love clean look on someone. Well, I guess the atmosphere here was different, Singapore was more like a business place compare to Bali as a holiday destination. Then that’s why I love coming to Singapore for two or three days of shopping but I would probably have to think twice to live here. People here are almost like robots, specially when they walk. They were like in hurry all the time like they were chasing by the times. And everything here is follow by the rules which as an Indonesian sometime I find it too much. Like when you were on the escalator, you have to stand at the left hand side so that people who are in hurry can walk on the right hand side. Just like when you drive, right hand side is for fast driving or over taking, remember? I got used with this rule already, but sometime I find it’s ridiculous as I am a very laid back type of person so sometime I was like, why are they in such a hurry? What are they chasing? As for them, probably, try everything you lazy b*tch!
One more think that I found very unique about Singapore was a bonding between Chinese and Indian in this city is so common. Not like in Indonesia where I found it so rare for Chinese and Indian to be good friends. For some reasons, they just don’t, but here in Singapore, it was like everywhere. Not just as good friends but as lovers too, yay! And I also notice that so many people eating out here so that almost all restaurant were packed during meal time, maybe because most of them are working so they have to. Yeah, I don’t think there are too many unemployed people here as its economic level is raising like a rocket. So yeah, for me the number one shopping place in Asia is Singapore. My friends called it as my hometown since I visit this city more that my own hometown in Sumatra every year. What else can I say? Am a shopping addict?

Happy Birthday, Brother!

Month of May has a special something in my life. First, my man was born on May, 1st, then two of my best friends who has been by side since we were kids were born also on May, and my beloved little brother, who was very close to me compares with my older sister, was having a birthday today, which was also on the month of May. Those are four people who were very close to me and they were all born on the same month. For some reasons, I was always made a very good connection with May people. I never believed on star signs before, but yeah, maybe it was because of that reason that makes May people and February people are suited each other very well.
So, as I said above, today is my brother’s birthday and I would like to dedicate this note to him, my beloved little brother. Since we were kids, we were like very close to each other. For the reason that I never understand, I was always felt a gap between me and my sister so that, I don’t know, I can’t say that we have any problem, but we just never connected. But, with my brother it was different. It seems like he can read my mind and vice versa. We can just look at each other’s eyes then having a laugh without saying anything, but in our mind we were thinking about something funny and only we knew what that was. And believe it or not, we both are not an extrovert type of person, sometime we were not even talk to each other for a quite long time, but deep inside our heart, we felt very connected. Don’t get me wrong, I love my sister, but the feeling that I feel with my brother was different. Together we can talk about everything and I can feel the love was right there. Even my mum was always talk to me first whenever she has a problem with my brother and asks me to talk to him on her behalf. So believe me, when I said I love my brother, I really mean it.
Then yeah, as for my brother’s birthday today, I would like to send him my love, my kiss and my pray, hope that he will have a very good one and becomes more and more in everything that he planned in his life. I pray for his happiness, his success, and everything that he wished for his so called special day. I pray for his achievement in life, his failure, I pray for him in everything. Happy birthday, little brother! Just remember that you have me and the whole family behind you, so don’t be afraid to step out and make your move in your beautiful life. Believe me, God is with us as He was always be. I love you and once again, Happy Belated Birthday!!

Something Right

My friends and I went out last weekend and got carried out until 5 o’clock in the morning, so of course, our men kind of upset with us and we ended up in trouble. Yesterday afternoon, my friend called me and talked about what went wrong about last weekend night out. Was that a hundred percent our fault? Here is the thing, our dear friend from out of town was in Bali visiting us for my other friend’s birthday bash a week before. Then of course, as a good friend, we planned a surprise birthday party for him as well, simply just because we love him and appreciate his visit. But as usual, we were kind of lose it and the small party that we planned before turned up to be a big night out for us. And yeah, we were out of control but as my man said, my friends and I were always have an answer for our so called mistake and last weekend was no different.

So yeah, my dear friend and I were having a serious conversation about our behavior lately then came to a conclusion that we need to change. We were kind of neglecting our love ones and too busy with our own life and we don’t even realized this until what happened last weekend and our men gave us a warning. First I was like, I am not a kid so I can do whatever I want as long as I know and ready with the risks, so yeah, I was like ignored everything but after a while, I woken up and smell the coffee. I realized that in the world we have to sacrifice something to get something else. We can’t always get everything that we want, like the whole world is ours. It just doesn’t work that way. Even the day has to giving up to the night when the time comes. You can’t take care of your business, while having fun with your friends and still pay attention to your love ones during your daily routine because God only prepares us with twenty four hours in a day, remember?

Then of course, from now on we will change, well, at least we will try to adjust our priority. Hey, this is not something as easy as it sounds to achieve, don’t you think so? But yeah, from now on, we will put our love ones on the top of our list together with ourselves and our business, of course, but above our friends, our daily routine, our shopping habits, our afternoon coffee, even our having fun which was always gave us trouble. This is not a promise but we will make it as our resolutions for this year. And we made a deal that we will be each other’s reminder for this so called the holly goal of the year, hah! I know, most people who knew us would probably laughed at us, but we were serious when we made this decision. So yeah, we’re not trying to justify our mistake, but if these came from our heart and made us feel good about ourselves, then we must be doing something right. If we feel that this is something that we need to do not because of anything or anyone else but ourselves, then we must be doing something right. Because nothing sounds even more right than something that came from the heart and makes you feel better about yourselves.
